Otaku Tarot
Aug. 8th, 2008 07:45 pmMy sister just told me about something that caught her eyes on deviantart.
Seeing who the author choose to represent the Lovers in her Otaku Tarot, I'm not surprised:

I must admit, I'm very fond of the Hermit card...
And while I recognize almost every characters and the anime they come from, I never heard of Voltron...

Date: 2008-08-09 04:29 pm (UTC)And it was translated into French. According to this site, it first aired in France on September 9, 1988.
And something interesting Wiki has to say about the English version:
The adaptation was not a straight dub, however--as much violence as possible was removed from the original Japanese series, and the dialogue was based on what the USA production team could deduce from the on-screen action, as none of them spoke Japanese.
I now have the urge to hunt down the Japanese version (and hope it has English subtitles).

Date: 2008-08-09 04:35 pm (UTC)Even if it was aired again after 1988, it mustn't have been among the various cartoons and animes my brothers watched, or I would at least know the faces of the characters...
God knows they watched a lot of things back then...
