Finally over!
Aug. 11th, 2012 10:38 pmIt's over! Yes!
What's over? A very tiring task.
So, my parents had bought wood for the next winter. 15 stere of wood, to be exact; we're increasing the quantity frequently, a few years back, we only used to take seven or eight. Of course, with winters getting colder and the price of energy increasing, I understand why they chose to just use more firewood. So, whoever they buy it from just bring the wooden logs over and let them drop from his truck, and we're the ones who'll sort it.
Thankfully, my brothers all came to help, which is good, because it happened once or twice where it was just my parents, my sister and I. They did most of the heavy lifting and transport, I mainly helped them to charge the wheelbarrows and cleaned up most of the sawdust and pulled apart the fallen bits of bark that could still be used. Still, even with their help, we spend two evenings sorting the wooden logs and storing them next to the house and in the garden.
Good news is, I avoided getting a tendinitis this time; my back feels a bit stiff, but it should be nothing to worry about. I'm happy it's finally over and done.
