Been to my cousin's wedding yesterday. It was great :)

She's from the side of the family who really enjoy parties, so we already knew it was going to be a blast.

Some things, I hadn't expected, like someone actually throwing rice at the bride and groom when they went out of the church as well as paper petals and bubbles (which I'm more used to). Oh, and someone used firecrackers too; I was kinda scared of that, because it was damn loud. It did scare one of the pages at some point, too. Because yes, for once, there were pages in coordinated outfits, two girls and two boys, which I had never seen in a ceremony before, mostly because the previous weddings I went to lacked kids having the right age to play the part (granted, I haven't been to many weddings, it was only the third I can remember of). Also, I took not of the empty tin cans on a string behind the newlyweds - again, something I hadn't seen before.

Things went fine (aside of the rather cold weather, but at least, it didn't rain): lot of music, dance, games,... Most notably, we had to find our seats for the dinner with a game; each table was decorated with an accessory (cards, a roller skate,...) and everybody was given a clue as to which table they wouldn't seat at and someone they would share the table with; took us a while to understand, but it was fun :)
Also, the removal of the bride's garter turned into a game/sort-of auction; people had to offer money to make the bride lower or lift the hem of her dress as to reveal the garter - for any man giving money, she would lift if, and lower it when it was a woman who added money to the baskets passed around. My brother L. , who somehow learned they would do that, had bought fake chocolate coins to add XD
Men ended up winning, and the one who offered the most money was designated to get the garter off - with his teeth. XD

Had to stop myself from laughing when they revealed the wedding cake; they played Transformers - Arrival to Earth when they did XD

Left the party shortly before 3am. Most people stayed longer, but my parents hadn't slept much the night before and were tired, so we had to leave 'early' - as soon as the meal was over. Got back home at 4.30am; went to bad at 5.20am, because I first had to remove my makeup and remove the twenty-or-so hairpins holding my hairs in a bun.
Woke up at 3pm, and still tired - my cold isn't helping.

But I had a fun day, and I hope my cousin and her new husband'll have a nice, long live together :)
